How annoying! I was so elated to finally buy a closed-toe shoe (i think it's called, mules) at VNC for work last Saturday, then today, i see an ad that VNC is having a sale starting tomorrow til March 31st--up to 50% off! Argh! Ha, i just wish the shoes that i bought (with my salary) is not on sale! Hehehehe.
Still browsing through the paper….Sunday classified ads…How in the world am I ever gonna get a job when every company wants “a graduate from any business course”! BOOOHOOOO!

It feels so good to have your philo orals over and done with. No more philo orals for the rest of my life! I actually like Philosophy, it's just the orals--being tested part--that i hate.
As always, i was so inarticulate during the orals. I think i barely got a decent and complete thought across. Although Fr. Que was really nice and friendly. He asked me a really easy question (but i was caught off guard coz it was not what i expected). "What lesson did you learn in class and later on, relate to one of the theories of the philosophers. "
I studied every single thesis statement even if couldn't really understand what they meant and he didn't even ask me about any one of them. For my answer, i chose Kant of course because that topic was the one where i really listened. Unfortunately, i forgot to browse on it so i just blurted out stock knowledge stuff. I ended up confusing it with one of the concepts in my theology class. I wonder what Sir was thinking, haha!
I think i'll get a C or C+ in this subject, i just hope it's the latter one =)

I'm supposed to be preparing for my Philo orals right now but i just wanna express my joy over the finished Comelec video documentary! Yey! hehehe. I'm really so happy coz it's been such a big burden ever since last year and now, it's finally over! Yipeee!!!!
We had the video edited at Kodak Ultravision, E. rod branch and we were surprised to find out that the editor is an Ateneo Alumnus, just a batch before us. He did a pretty good job naman, not very flashy but stuck with the basics and the thing came out pretty well. My gauge for this is that i was smiling after i watched the whole thing. Hehehe.
Of course, i was the one who insisted on the ending music so i liked the effect: (Whitney and Mariah's When You Believe playing while the hope for the progress of Comelec's modernization is being shown.
Ok, ok, i guess whoever is reading this can't relate! (except of course my groupmates and the editor). I do hope they can relate coz i'm not sure if they like my taste. Well, what's done is done! I wish i could celebrate but well, i still got Philo orals tomorrow, PolSci Final exam on Thursday, Features Final Paper on Friday and Work on Saturday! Argh. As i keep on saying, "This is the LAST HELLWEEK of my College life!'

Just, great. I was typing an entry a while ago and the computer here at school hanged. Oh well. Anyways, i was saying that i'm so confused with our Comelec video documentary coz i can't seem to visualize the flow of the video. What i'm doing now is really reading and understanding the stuff written in the website so maybe i'd know what to place in our storyboard. Aaargh. Time is ticking! We have to be done with this by Tuesday morning and i still have Theo orals, and philo paper and features paper to worry about.
A lot have actually been happening nowadays like my uncontrollable eating habits, my being assigned to be the secondary sponsor for my cousin's wedding, our kinda weird new driver, ants in car, new work uniform, etc. However, since they're so many i don't have time to tackle each and ever one of them! Till march when i have no classes anymore!
Before i go, i just want to say that i was surprised to find out that our graduation practice lasts for only an hour and a half! And we're doing it just a few hours before the graduation ceremonies itself! This is so surprising for me since graduation practice in highschool lasted for about 3 weeks! Wow, we must be mature people now that's why we don't need too many practices. hehehehe

Valentines Day Ramblings...
Happy Valentine's Day! I'm in school right now on the day of the hearts! Nope, i don't have classes. I just dropped off stuff for our theo project and finally i was able to snag a computer since it's a "Just Use the Computer..Happy Valentine's Day" day today. No kidding, that's what's written on the bar where it usually reads "Please log-out after use" hehehe.
Anyway, i went to the BoyzIIMen and Brian Mcknight concert last night! And it just struck me that i was supposed to be observant last night coz im writing a short review article about it for SWACK online (a.ka. CyberKiss) So, i'm gonna use this post to note down all the weird and unusual stuff that i remember from last night.
1) Surprise guest: Keith Martin. He sang 2 songs: Love of My Life and Because of You.
I have a feeling he just wanted to perform on stage coz he's not originally in the list of guests!
2) i felt that Brian Mcknight's part was more entertaining than his solo concert 2 years ago. He tried to imitate other singers like Frank Sinatra and i forgot the name of the other one who sang Overjoyed. It was hilarious when he sang Unforgettable by Sinatra. He was really imitating the voice and his face was all contorted in weird angles. He also did a remix of one of his songs coz at first we thought he was singing 50 cent's It's your birthday then after a few lines he was able to smoothly do a transition to his own song. Cool! He sang something with Nelly,too.
3) Lani Misalucha got Brian Mcknight as her pianist! haha no, i also thought so at first but they sang a duet a few lines later. I thought Lani's singing was ok but my friend, Cathy said it was a far cry from the artist whose song she was singing. (Vannessa Williams!) She was supposedly singing high on the parts that weren't supposed to be high. Hmm, i really don't know. My friend doesn't appreciate Lani Misalucha trying to "personalize" the song with her own rendition.
4) BoyzIIMen made us wait for a looooong time. 30 mins? gosh!
5) We were sitting on seat E3 and E4 of the Deluxe section so that was near the 2nd projector. The prob was that the crew who were handling the spotlights were so @#$! noisy. They kept commenting on whatever stuff. They kept saying "international yan, blah blah." They were talking as if they were miles apart when they were just inches beside each other.
6) BoyzIIMen did some songs and moves that were similar to last year's concert. Is this inevitable? For their finale, they sang the BoyzIIMen, back again song, kinda introductory song done last concert.
7) I think the concert is a bit more organized than the previous two since they sang the songs based on a theme. Mcknight sang songs with a story, lost love, regret and then how much i love you! (Back at one). While BoyzIImen had categories. The upbeat ones went first then there was a classic category where they sang all the famous songs. Then upbeat again and then finale.
8) Just a comment, the macho guy last year gained weight and Wanya seems to have gained more weight! He looks like Eddie Murphy in one of his fat movies! Hehehe
Hmmm.. so far that's all i remember. I'm going home now and enjoy the rest of the day with my Valentine!

Just a Thought >
I was leisurely walking along the hallway and decided to check the OAA's (Office of Admission and Aid) bulletin board for announcements. A poster of the list of Freshmen Merit Scholars for 2004-2005 was posted on the board. Merit Scholars are the 15 highest scorers in the ACET if i'm not mistaken and i was mildly pleased to see a Judenite make the list: Giselle Yeo? Her name sounds familiar. Anyway, what really caught my attention was a Merit Scholar who had took COMTECH as her course! And was i more suprised when i found out that i knew the girl! Turns out that she's the girlfriend of my friend and somehow, i feel that her choice of course was influenced by her boyfriend. (He's 3rd year COMTECH now, hehe) Wala lang, she really stood out on the list coz all the other scholars had ME's, MgtH's, or science courses beside their name. The COMTECH people must be proud! hehehe.
...after a few hours....my friend says that her gf chose the course herself coz she's into marketing. He said he prodded her to take ME--the typical chinese scholar's choice, but she didn't want it coz it's math heavy. Well, it's a first. (At lease from what i know! =)

Flunking TEsts
Sigh this is sad...i just had two long tests a while ago: Pol Sci 100 and Philo 104. I feel that i flunked the Polsci test coz 90% of my answers were guesses coz i couldn't find the right Article and Section where the answers were located..coz i didn't read huhuhu. I'm beside my classmate right now at the computer lab and she said she found the test to be a breeze and she located the answers right away...sigh this is what i get for not studying, from procrastinating and bumming around. Maybe i shouldn't get work while i have long tests in school...hmmm
Next week, we'll have a test or graded recitation in every single meeting of our PolSci class! Argh, i really have to make up! Should i get work or not? Maybe work isn't the problem...it's just my study habits... Hmph, this is really serious, i've got to get my act together and get high grades coz it's my last sem in school already. And well, i'm sure now that i won't get into the Dean's List...how sad..i didn't make it to the list in my entire stay here in the Ateneo. I am so pathetic!
Oh well, i gotta go know and do service hours for scholarship! i got 7 hours more to go! ciao!

Reasons Why One Should Be a Congressman
1. Regular sessions only last from Mondays to Thursdays! (sessions usually start after lunch!)
2. Multiple voluntary recesses in a year! (more vacations than a student!) the longest one is during campaign period--no sessions from Feb to June!
3. Approx. P200 MILLION pork barrel per congressman a year! and you can do ANYTHING you please with it! (just don't be caught if it's illegal, hehe)
4. Absent or Leave WITH pay!
5. 3 years in office (P200M x 3!) and you can stay there up to 9 years. hehe
Of course, these are the pros and i'm surely they certainly outweigh the cons like you can be arrested and compeled to go to sessions if you're always absent or the president can call sessions anytime she wants and you have to do give money to your constituents but hey, that's just part of work. hehehe. I wonder if i should run at age 25? hmmmm, maybe if i still don't have a job i will.
