this is how i rationalize when i buy something pricey that i really, really like (e.g. techie toys):
1) it's not like i'm buying drugs or anything
2) i've been working so hard and i deserve nice things to reward myself
3) there's always a bonus that's about to be given out sometime soon
don't follow my tips and my deranged thinking when i do whimsical spending. you've been warned. =P
