Mixture of Luck

Bad luck: I deliberately absented myself during a theo exam (disguised as a quiz) because i completely forgot about it! I was happily finishing our thesis and voila! I finished it Friday morning. So i go to school and Rom suddenly asks me, "Nag-aral ka na ba for the theo test?"
"Huh, what theo test? Oh shit!" So there, i absolutely did not know anything so i decided to cut. Imo told me that i just had to call up the dept and tell them i was sick and give a doctor's certificate to Fr. Giordano and he'll let me take a make-up quiz. Apparently, i though that Giordano was very nice and acommodating that he would give me a make-up test even without those things...APPARENTLY NOT. Oh well.....so i missed a quiz: Goodbye A in Theo! Goodbye DL! Huhuhu

Good kind of luck: I cut Newswriting class some time back coz i was feeling lazy and bored. Result: I missed a quiz and writing exercise! Just great..sheesh. So ok, really no hope for a high grade since i missed quizzes. He did say that he'll think it over if he'll give a make-up but the issue was forgotten....But yesterday, Sir textd me and told me to call him up on his landline. So i hurriedly call him up and guess what? He's gonna give me a chance to make up for my missed exercise Yey! He faxed me the speech from which i was gonna base my article. Isn't he sooo nice? To think, i thought Giordano was the nice one and Tirol the stern one!

Bad luck again: Ok sa my Aegis article has come out and a staffer from the Guidon who has a friend in Aegis told me that the Aegis members were really mad at me, the inquiry editor and the Guidon itself. Sad luck. So why are they so mad at me? Well, obviously because i'm presenting their shortcomings..i did get an interview with Exie, their project manager and Jenn, the EIC and my aim really was to present both sides and even the grievances of Aegis since it is hard work to complete a yearbook. I DID WRITE ABOUT THE HARDSHIPS THEY ENCOUNTERED BUT DUE TO SPACE CONSTRAINTS THOSE PARTS WERE EDITED OUT =( To top it off, an extra paragraph refuting what Jenn said about their lack fo funds was added--without any quotes or side from the present Aegis. SIgh. And it's all under my name....the consequences of being a journalist and just a staffer at that.....I'm not washing my hands from what i wrote (except of course the extra paragraph) it just wasn't the whole thing i wrote. Sometimes, you really want to put things in context so that things would be understood the way they should be..but sometimes it just doesn't happen.
Editor told me not to explain anything first to anyone, just let them write a letter to the editor and i'll answer there....how sad...i'm such a peaceful person and i never wanted to have enemies!
I don't know what Jennifer and Exie think of me now but i was really sincere in trying to show not only their shortcomings but also the hardships they encountered....
